A Tribute to my Grandmother

Grammy

Ida Mae (Myers) Bishop
March 14, 1912 - November 19, 2008

You couldn't meet a sweeter woman or
someone who loved their family more than my grandmother.

Below are some of my favorite photos of my grandmother that tell her life's story.

Grammy and her siblings:
Ida, Harry, Sarah, & Kirk
Grammy's sister died of tuberculosis when she was only 22 years old.
My grandmother was 16.

One of our favorite traditions: cookie baking
Grammy's job was always quality control,
to make sure the cookies didn't get too big and weren't put on the tray too close together

Grammy's oldest brother, Kirk, was born January 1, 1901
We always celebrated his birthday every New Year's day
He lived to be almost 99 years old

Grammy and the Hardy great-grandchildren
just how I like to remember them, so small and cute
