Kevin's 29th Birthday

We went out to lunch today with Julie's family to celebrate Phil's and Kevin's birthdays. Then we went back to Kevin's house for cake and so he could open his gifts.

On Christmas day, Mom, Dad, and we went to Kevin's house. Kevin cooked us yummy pancakes for breakfast, then we exchanged gifts.

Cookie Baking & Candy Making

As is tradition, we got together with Julie's family to bake dozens and dozens of cookies and to make candy to give away to family and friends for the holidays.

Kevin and Phil rolled and dropped all of the cookies. Mom manned the oven, and Julie put all of the cookies on cooling racks and then into tins once they were cool.

Julie's Trip to Florida

Julie attended the American Society of Hematology conference in Orlando for work, so she flew down a day early to visit with her Grandma, Aunt Lois, & Uncle Paul who live about an hour north.

Dad's 60th and Grandma's 82nd Birthday

Julie's dad and grandmother share the same birthday. Since this year was Dad's 60th birthday, we decided to all go to Florida where Grandma lives so that the whole Jones family could celebrate Dad's big birthday and Grandma's birthday together.

Aunt Lois and Uncle Paul live with Grandma near Ocala, Aunt Betty drove down from Virginia, Julie's cousins Richard and Alicia and Alicia's son Trevor drove down from the Jacksonville area, we drove down with Mom and Kevin, and after a motorcycle trip across the country, Dad met us in Florida.

We had a triple celebration: Mother's Day, Phil's birthday, and Kevin's birthday. Julie's mom, dad, and brother came over, and we had our first barbecue of the season.
